ClimateThe Grampians national park is mostly mild though the year receiving an average of 22cm of rainfall a year. Most of the rainfall is received throughout winter and spring, the summers however, are mostly dry with little rain, and the temperature is warm and has little humidity. Depending on the time of the year and the severity of the conditions roads, parks and paths may be closed for a season because of floods, fires and rainfall.

Things To Do· The Pinnacle, is a jagged rocky ledge at the base of one of the mountains surrounding the Grampians. The vantage point is terrific and gives you a clear view of the whole Grampians area. Its 4.2 walk from the closest town, Hall Gap, it crosses over water ways and rock hopping so sturdy shoes are a good idea.
· Halls Gap zoo, a 25 acre country zoo in the Grampians area, it is located at the foot hall of the Grampians mountain ranges 7km away from Halls Gap. It includes 160 species of native and exotic mammals, birds and reptiles. · Mackenzie falls, a set of waterfalls and rivers. It’s a 2km walk both ways a moderately easy walk including steep hills and slippery rocks. · Mount Arapiles, one of the most highly regarded rock-climbing areas in Australia. It provides impressive views and an exhilarating rock climbing experience, the area has a tall sweeping rock rising sharply from Wimmera Plains. It has 2000 routes that lead to different rock climbing areas providing rocks that are more challenging and easier rocks for beginners. · Hamilton Botanic Gardens is one of the earliest gardens in Victoria with great scientist and historical significance. It received the state’s largest heritage protection after it was included in Victoria’s heritage register. |
